Yokohama GRITS Junior is a co-ed ice hockey team for ages 5–15, based in Shin-Yokohama.

We practice twice a week, primarily at the KOSÉ Shin-Yokohama Skate Center, and welcome players from kindergarten through Grade 9.

Our team includes English-speaking coaches and parents to support families who don’t speak Japanese. Feel free to contact us in English for more information or for a free trial session.

We adopted the name Yokohama GRITS Junior in April 2025, following a partnership with the professional Asia League Ice Hockey team, Yokohama GRITS. Despite the new name, our team carries more than 50 years of heritage..

Our volunteer parent coaches are guided by Yuji Iwamoto, current head coach of the Yokohama GRITS (pro), who serves as General Head Coach for our program.
